Organizing the Company Workflow

The organization of your workflow for your company is an essential step in optimizing your business. The process can be daunting however, it can be completed. With a little thought and a few helpful tips to help your team work effectively.

A workflow is a set of steps that are required to finish an action. It could be parallel, sequential or a combination of both. It can include mandatory tasks along with must-haves, nice to haves that must to be completed to achieve a final goal. It also includes the people tools and resources required to accomplish these tasks. A well-organized workflow ensures maximum efficiency and productivity. It also helps employees concentrate on the most important aspects.

The workflow process can be automated using software. This is particularly beneficial in customer service, where it can help reduce the time required to respond to an inquiry. Automation can also cut down on human error, which can increase the quality of a product.

A workflow can be organized into folders in the dashboard to aid in the search and manage your processes. For example, a sales workflow could be organized into different folders for each brand or product line. Navigate to the workflow dashboard and click Create. Name the folder and then click the checkbox next to the business unit you wish to assign. To change the business unit assigned to a workflow, hover over it and click More > Choose business unit.
